Beautiful Skincare Begins with Healthy Farms

Announcing the Regenerative Initiative —
The Toups & Co. Grant Program for Next Generation Farmers

By investing in regenerative farming, we lift up local economies and help restore soil health, nutrient density, and biodiversity for our community. Because healthy farms make healthy people.

Generational Impact

Through the Regenerative Initiative, we help farmers expand their impact on the community and build a better infrastructure for future generations.

Your Purchase Gives Back

Your support of Toups & Co. allows us to give back to regenerative farmers, who uphold high standards for sustainability, ingredient transparency, and ethical practices.

The Future Depends on Farmers

Regenerative farming is the future of farming. It’s how the next generations will combat pollution, climate change, and modern health concerns.

A Future Without Regenerative Farms Is a Future Without Wellness

We’re grateful to regenerative farmers for safeguarding our health — from food to skincare.

That’s why we’re launching this grant program to help a farmer scale and expand their business.

With the Regenerative Initiative, farmers can invest in…

Soil testing

This allows them to grow produce mindfully and boost soil health with the right compost or cover crop.

Plant biodiversity

Crop rotation is an essential part of cultivating biodiversity and soil health.

Livestock

Since livestock is expensive, it can be difficult to expand this side of farming without a loan.

Infrastructure development

This can look like better food processing methods, water irrigation, or composting facilities.

Renewable energy

Although an investment, renewable energy can save funds and reduce pollution over time.

Nutrient density

New farmers may need support when choosing the right organic food for their livestock. Small changes in food or environment can dramatically increase product quality and nutrient density.

Research and education

Continued education is vital to the health, well-being, and success of regenerative farmers.

Intentional stewardship

Funding can help farmers further steward their land and livestock, creating sustainable practices to help future generations.

Political advocacy

We’re investing in a better future for next-generation farmers.

Why Regenerative Farming Matters to Us

We exist to fill a gap in the skincare market by setting a higher standard for ingredient transparency and product efficacy. But we can’t do this without the support of regenerative farms. Because good skincare starts with good soil.

Farmers who hold unwavering standards for quality ingredients are preserving the wellness of our communities worldwide. From the ground up, they’re paving the way for nutrient-dense foods and skincare products that build a better future.

"Sustainable agriculture is not just about growing crops, it's about caring for the soil, the water, the air, and all the living things that depend on them."

How Regenerative Farms Are Making a Difference

Cover crops

Instead of using chemical fertilizers, regenerative farms rely on cover crops and compost to enrich their soil.

Nose-to-tail principles

By using every part of the animal, regenerative farms reduce waste and give us products like tallow.

Water conservation

Many regenerative farms focus on water retention because less soil erosion means healthier crops (and a healthier planet).

Preservation of knowledge

It’s so important to pass down farming techniques from our ancestors, especially those that are chemical free.

Less pollution

Regenerative farms leave the earth better than they found it.

Better skincare

We’re grateful to our regenerative farm partners who pave the way for herbal skincare and animal-based products.

We’re Looking for Southeast US Farmers Who Leave the Earth Better Than They Found It

Each year, we’re committed to giving $5,000 to a regenerative farm that’s making a difference. We will be choosing farms in the Southeast Region this first year to support our neighbors in Coastal Alabama. These funds will enable the selected farm to boost soil quality, build educational programs, develop infrastructure, invest in renewable energy, and increase distribution channels.

How It Works:

  • Apply yourself, or share with a farm you love.
  • Applications open on December 3rd, 2024 and close on May 30th 2025.
  • The grant recipient will be announced on August 25th, 2025.

FAQ

How Is Regenerative Farming Different from Modern Farming?

The goal of modern farming is to produce large quantities of food for the global market. To meet high demand, it relies on large equipment, chemical fertilizers, and soil tilling. These modern practices rapidly deplete the earth’s resources and produce nutrient-deficient foods.

On the other hand, regenerative farming is a method that works with the natural world. There is little to no environmental impact, since regenerative farmers use cover crops, no-till practices, crop rotation, compost, and rotational grazing to sustain their crops. The goal is to leave the earth better than we found it while growing nutrient-dense foods from quality soil.

How Can Recipients Use the Regenerative Initiative Grant?

The Regenerative Initiative grant can be used for any project that scales, expands, or improves your farm. During the application process, applicants have the opportunity to share their upcoming project with our team.

Will Toups and Co Host the Regenerative Initiative Every Year?

Yes, the Regenerative Initiative is a core part of our mission. We plan to bring it back every year to support as many farms as possible.

Can I Nominate a Friend’s Farm for the Regenerative Initiative?

Yes, you absolutely can. That said, we do need some essential paperwork and details about how the grant money will be used. You can see details on this here.

Why Do You Only Accept Farms in the Southeast USA?

Since the Regenerative Initiative is a new program, we want to prioritize our neighbors first. We truly couldn’t create beautiful makeup and skincare without our local regenerative farm partners — and we want to say thank you. As Toups and Co grows (and as this program expands), we may be able to widen the eligible region.
