Our Story
Our family wasn’t always health-conscious. But then, a series of health issues gave us a profound wake-up call… And it all began with tallow skincare.
We learned about tallow balm because of our daughter’s chronic eczema. After trying drugstore creams and prescription steroids, we desperately needed a solution. So we contacted a local farmer and rendered our first batch of tallow balm.
From then on, we called tallow our “liquid gold.” It quickly cleared up the eczema and became our catalyst to holistic living.
The more we researched skincare, the higher our expectations became. We want products that aren’t just nontoxic but also nutrient-dense. When we couldn’t find a brand that met our standards, we created our own.
Now, Toups and Co is the leading tallow skincare brand. We’re trailblazing a new era of ingredient transparency — one that combines ancestral methods and modern science.

The Original Tallow Skincare Brand
Long before tallow balm became internet famous, we were making it for our customers.
In almost ten years, we’ve learned a few important things about formulating and using tallow products. And we can confidently say, our tallow products are the most high-quality and intentional formulations you can find.
Our tallow is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished — and is always sourced from regenerative farms. Then, we dry render the tallow by hand at low temperatures to lock in as many nutrients as possible. Our tallow skincare products are created with minimal added ingredients (usually olive oil for texture and essential oils for scent). You’ll also find tallow in some of our makeup products for added nutrients and moisture.

When we say “clean ingredients,” we really mean it. We keep our ingredient labels front and center, so you never have to worry about greenwashing or misinformation. We’re committed to using only the highest-quality formulas that have been independently tested for purity and quality.

We source our ingredients only from farms and brands that are fair trade and ethical. And we’re proud to fund the Regenerative Initiative, a grant program for regenerative farmers.
