Think oil cleansing is counterintuitive?

Oil dissolves oil, which is why this cleanser removes stubborn makeup (even waterproof), dirt, and oil. 

It’s a misconception that oil always causes breakouts or makes skin more oily. In fact, overcleansing with oil-free formulas causes the skin to overproduce oil in an effort to rebalance it.

Sensitive and acne-prone skin often needs more oil after using drying acne treatments or “gentle” cleansers that spread around dirt and sweat.

How to use

  1. Begin with a dime-sized amount of oil and gently massage it onto your face.
  2. After a few minutes, use a hot damp towel to carefully remove all the oil from your skin. If you’re wearing makeup, you’ll want to repeat the cleansing process a second time.
  3. When finished, use one of our organic reusable cotton rounds and Facial tonic. Lock in the moisture with a Tallow Balm or Glow Serum.

Good for make up removal

"I am someone who doesn’t normally use a washcloth to wash my face and I just like to rinse off using my hands. I wear zero to minimal makeup. So I didn’t like that this doesn’t lather at all. It is an oil that applies to your face and it does have a wonderful smell. You use a warm washcloth to remove it, and it does seem to have a moisturizing effect. I think if you wore a lot of makeup, you might like it better."
