Not Hydrating Enough
"I originally purchased this as an organic alternative to my Aquaphor ointment, which I primarily use as a lip balm/treatment, especially overnight. I had high hopes, based off the ingredient list, that this would be incredibly hydrating, but alas, not at all. It feels emollient texture-wise, but with regards to actual hydration, there wasn't any for me. It sits on top of the skin and lips, without settling and absorbing in well to actually hydrate and treat. I am still using this nightly on my lips and I think I'm going to have to stop because I wake up with dry, cracked lips. I do use the tinted tallow balm, which is good enough, so I may get a non-tinted version and use it under the salve at night. Otherwise, this isn't something I would repurchase."

"While I love how this salve smells, I find that it’s almost too solid and that makes it a bit difficult to use - at least for me. It does a nice job of immediate hydration, but it’s not long-lasting."
